Unsuccessful With An X-clamp Repair
« on: May 23, 2010, 08:07:00 PM »

Hey all,

Brand new to the site so bear with me for being new.  I've been in business for a few months fixing friends' consoles with RROD.  I've been using LLamma's kits for the job, really like their method.  never had a fixed Xbox break again.

I'm fixing a box for a friend who got the RROD.  The box had been "fixed" once before.  I took out those screws and put my Llamma kit in it, then did Llamma's overhead method for 45 min like I usually do.  Then it worked fine.

Brought it back to the owner, we plug it in, and the RROD is back.  So I tightened the screws and re-overheated it, we tried again, and it worked fine.  20 minutes later, RROD again however.

Anything I can try to get this working permanently.  I have Llamma kits on both GPU and CPU.  Any advice is appreciated.  Thanks!
