What was the final word with the datel memory cards?  Has anybody got theirs working?

and what about game saves and profiles?  Is it safe to use the same save on both my modded and non-modded system?  I was reading something about achievements are associated with console ID's.  Can that be a problem (even hypothetically?)

(I did search, mostly upset threads... and search function acts strange for me... returns some error?)
