ok a 1.6 is going to be a bit of a harder upgrade if you haven't already done the soldering. If you are good with an iron or have the 1.6 adaptor then solder in the adaptor and you should be good to go. if you aren't that great with an iron, start by finding a 1.0-1.5 xbox (any will work) and reward yourself by making it quite a bit easier.

I have the mod chip done, but I have no idea what I'm doing to flash the bios. The chip has flashbios on it already and I plan to flash it with a DVD. I have the x2 5035, x2 config maker, XMBC and HEXEN on my pc. I don't know what to do next. What do I burn to the DVD? How do I put it all together? How do I install the XMBC?

HEXEN has the bioses on it. you will need to edit x2configmaker to reflect what you want for startup locations etc. many of the BIOSes prefer to be booting from C: so i recommend putting whatever dash you decide on in the C folder.

I'm sorry for being a noob, but can I just use the HEXEN disk. It seems to have dashboards and stuff already. My chip has flashbios and you can flash from a DVD.
