Softmod Question
« on: June 20, 2013, 08:16:00 AM »

I'm heading out the door so I don't have time to really look into your error 6, but I noticed that you said that you were planning to flash an X3 bios onto your TSOP.  DO NOT DO THAT.  All of the "smart" bioses are designed to only run on the modchips that they were made for.

Don't worry about X3,I researched and found you could TSOP mod Xbox, even with X2 or iND-BIOS.

If you are getting error 5 or 6 you've already botched it if you don't have your eeprom.bin
You're going to need to make and eeprom reader device, or install a modchip.

A small update on the HDD:
It's still at the "Your Xbox requires service" screen but now it's Error 5,since I unlocked the HDD,and a new discovery is if I unplug the DVD drive,I can get Error 11,even with the HDD unlocked.(don't worry,it won't unlock back)

The error code means jack shit for an eeprom reader. It pulls it direct from the chip on the XBOX MOBO As for E6 that means you somehow locked the HDD with an eeprom that doesnt match whats on the chip so it cant unlock it.
