Anyone else experiencing this:

Worked fine before :S.
Does not matter what skin I use, and white and black button no longer hides these windows, so.. a bit annoying.

The new build by T3CH Aug 16th build sucks royal. All my movie icons were screwed up. They were all .tbn extensions. & when playing music, that sucks! Theres a black bar that stays ontop & tells info about what codec is being used ect...& another bar below stays on the bottom at all tims showing what albums being played. "WEAKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK". The whole screen should be dedicated to the visuals. Some of theese guys who make this app are "MOURONS". Somebody with Intelligence please "TAKE OVER". Go home T3CH......

You are an idiot. What you describe is XBMC functionality. I havent altered it except for the included changes in the README
Great that you're too STUPID to read the xbmc manual to findout how to disable those bars...

go away little kid  beerchug.gif

Some 3rd party remote's don't use the standard RCA DVD codes, so if you want it to work with a universal remote, be careful.

I had the same problem.  I did a search and found out that the  <regexp> was missing from my xboxmediacenter.xml.

I just had to add this:

<videostacking>
<regexp>[ _\.-]+part[ \.]+([0-9a-d]+)</regexp>
<regexp>[ _\.-]+cd[ \.]+([0-9a-d]+)</regexp>
<regexp>[ _\.0-9-]([abcd])\....$</regexp>
<regexp>[^ \.]([0-9])\....$</regexp>
</videostacking>

save and reboot.

The Official Xbox remote uses an RCA Infrared code between the remote and the the llittle IR reciever you plug into the Xbox, so you could use another RCA DVD remote or a universal remote programmed with the same code to control XBMC.

Some of the 3rd party ones use their own code between the remote and the reciever, and sometimes a non standard one that isn't a commonly available code on a universeal remote either.  If the remote breaks you are basically SOL.

So what he was saying was that you take your chances with those non-official remotes.  IMO, pony up the extra few bucks for the real thing or look for a used official one --  I found one used where the remote was broken but the IR reciever was working fine and was able to convince the pawn shop owner to sell it to me for pennies. :-)
