No, most of the time they are not up todate, and we have seen enough problems coused by it.

So, do not use it if you want help with your install.

I was very excited about this fix:
CODE
- 23-07-2005 fixed: direct opening of SMB files if no SMB authentication information is in the url

Haven't been able to play video since the last update. But alas it didn't work. I can play music from my samba share but video's still give me this log message:

CODE
ERROR cmplayer::openfile() smb://10.0.0.3/Share/Media/Video/Movies/A Movie.avi failed
 :(

Thanks for posting new builds on a more regular basis anyway!  :D

Can someone elaborate on the reduced mic delay?

Is it realtime now?

I would like to add, prior to any updating of XBMC, I always change the name of the folder of the last build I have working properly to XBMCbak. Then I move the xbe and the xml of that version over to that folder. Then I update. If anything groes worng, I can easily delete the new update, change the XBMCbak folder back to XBMC, and return the xbe and xml files to their proper places.

This has saved me a lot of heartache and pain.

not yet, and probably never 100%

There will soon be a new mplayer with LIMITED AVC support, what does limited mean?

It means that most features that makes AVC a "modern codec" (capable to make smaller files than ie XVID), will NEED TO BE DISABLED upon ENCODING, since the cpu usage they require is nothing an xbox can handle.
