Can I Flash V1.4 With Mech Assault
« on: January 08, 2004, 06:19:00 AM »

all i know is the solder holes arent filled

and i think its a clone wars bundle/ tetris

i have done a multi bios with v1.0 no prob

so how do i know if its a v1.3 v1.4/v1.5, does it matter

the only thing i know is must use m7 or later

i am using the original gamesave i used for v1.0

wut i did was, load it, then i ftped, transfered audio exploit

i then transfered bios, i loaded swapless exploit

i then flashed it, real simple

with this current board, i have no idea, i soldered the points

i edited my gamesave evox, so i can flash from the c:/bios

but i get flash not wirtable or something
i also soldered the other points after this did not work

i checked 4 times, resoldering to make it better

As long as it doesn't have a winbond chip, you can flash it with the mechassault with evox save.

you find out by opening up the box and looking at the TSOP   =P

If it's a winbond, it will have a picture on the chip that looks like a W in a half globe.

If you use the 007savewithraincoat, follow the tut that's pinned at the top of this page

Can you explain this? I am trying to flash a 1.3 with a winbond chip using Evox build 3935. I get a "unkown flash type" error from evox when I try this. This xbox is running evox using phoenix bios loader and a 4979.06 BFM bios. How can I flash a winbond chip?

You have to use raincoat to flash a winbond chip as evox does sector erases and the winbond only accepts whole chip erases.

Either put raincoat on your hdd as an app or use the exploit through the 007 game.

Just as a further note, I'm assuming that you've already soldered or jumpered the write enable points?
