2 ?'s. Music Videos And Backup Dvd Playback
« on: January 29, 2006, 05:23:00 PM »

What happened to the music video feature?  Is there no way to stream music videos anymore?  I really liked that feature.

Second question,  how can I play the backup dvd's from my hard drive?  I go to the folder, and see a lot of video_ts files.

Thanks!

Just open the music vid as a normal video.  I really don't understand your problem if it's more complex then that.

To play the dvd just open the first .ifo file in the VIDEO_TS folder.

what I meant is streaming music videos.  Just like streaming movie trailers, you could stream music videos.  But apparently you can't do it in the newer versions.

whiteblazer, you are unaware of this, but XBMC can run Python scripts.
the T3CH builds only come with a few scripts. One of them can be used to download & install additional scripts.
i believe it is called Auto-Installer or XBMCScripts or some such stuff. i don't have my Xbox handy so you'll have to find it yourself. XBMCScripts.com has probably all the info you need.
there are a TON of scripts available that vary from lame to amazing, so have fun finding even more cool things to do with the same old Xbox (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks slumber, I'll check that out.  I was actually aware of the scripts feature, but I remember an older version of xbmc came with one already loaded.
