The point is to get feedback from the skinners about how the models are mapping. No point in putting models into the new neXgen if the skins don't map onto them properly, I don't have time to check all the mapping and model the new menus too.

Or we could just wait till the new one is finished then go through the process of checking the models, would take a while I can tell you.
Also releasing them keeps the interest levels up in neXgen in general. Or I can keep posting screens of what I'm doing for feedback, just thought people would like to see em in the flesh, so to speak, and I wanted to get rid of the real basic neXgen screens off the BSX website.
My last reason, is I have spent over a month modelling for neXgen, I wanted to show people how good it was already, all it needed was a nice skin to be more pallettable, even without better rendering, fog etc etc.
Also g0at3r, you'll notice the crosshair is now in subsets
