What If..we Made A "windows Xp - The Game" For 360
« on: December 16, 2006, 08:44:00 PM »

I think u can see where this is going, and in fact why do windows when u can do linux, etc. ect. here are some thoughts (if they can't work PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY NOT)

    1) if we utilize the dvd drive we can use it to run a live cd and call all librays and such from it (or a usb drive)

    2) what about an emu. as a game (they do it in linux)

    3) what about a "game" that slips in code to the bios

When you finish, im sure the Xbox Linux project will be very grateful. Maybe they will even have some sort of tangible reward for your efforts?

You would be barred from doing that by the XNA framework.

2) what about an emu. as a game (they do it in linux)

How do you plan on getting it signed to run??

3) what about a "game" that slips in code to the bios

AH.. NO!

Please go read alot then come back with a susgestion.

If any random person can think why dont we try this so has someone in MS

I'm sure m$ put some kind of security in it to block this, or even just took it out.

If someone made an XNA game the only possible way to try and getting homebrew is intentionaly leaving a loophole in the game, allowing a hacked game save to be loaded with some kind of loader. Then you have to hope M$ doesnt see it when they sign it. So this idea is for the most part almost imposible.
