ever think about it just being the usb being to slow to run games off of?

i know the differences in speed however some games run just fine off the usb hdd and others do not. Also some arcade games unlocked with xm360 run slow and others run normally, and they are on the 360 hdd any ideas?

Some games are just more hdd intensive than others, that is all. File structure and the way the games are designed are just variable.

When it comes down to it, there's not much you can do except perhaps upgrade hard drives or use an internal hdd.

yeah, xm360 certainly has nothing to do with this...

once you launch anything from xm360, xm360 is gone like it was never there in the first place...
