Xbox 360 Devkit?
« on: August 27, 2007, 10:55:00 AM »

Hi there,
I got the following Unit, showing in this Video. The HDD is 120GB I guess (ca. 100 are Displayed) and it already got HDMI Out. Is this one a DevKit? How much worth is it? Thanks in advance, ebichu!

Hey, congratulations of finding one, I personally know how hard it its to track one down. Since yours has the HDMI and was probably made in the beginning of 2007, it would probably be worth $1,200 since it doesn't have the sidecar, if it did it would probably be worth $ 1,700, and if it had the sidecar and the 360 SDK, it would probably be worth $2,000+

Also, yeah, he XDK dash, and the 360 dash comes in at a whomping 20GB...so yeah, you have a 120GB hdd

The side car is the big attachment to the top of the xbox, it includes the hard drive, and dvd emulation, and kernel debugging ports on it. If you've seen the pictures of the three XeDKs from SmartXX, the sidecar is the grey thing that the "smartxx inside" sticker is attached to.

If you haven't seen the pic, then go here: http://www.xb360info....devl.foto1.jpg

Well does your kit have any wires coming from the top of your kit, right by the hard drive. If so than yes its a dev kit,if not than its a debug unit.Your kit is really not rare at all, seen them before. And I would say your kit was made in 2006.

The hmdi dev's and debugs are no way worth that much. Also MS does not make any hdmi kits with the sidecar.Man your prices are way off.

I just based those prices on the offers people gave me, when i was buying one.

And just because you've seen one before, doesn't make it not rare. I only know about 11 people that have one, and that's all across the 'net. There's more debug units than devkits out in the wild, so the debugs aren't as rare, but any type of x360 dev hardware is rare.

Also, the xbox with wires coming out of the top is a stress test kit, it can be converted into a dev kit (if you have a sidecar), but that's not its original purpose for it.

No your wrong, only if it has the window cut on the side then its a stress test dev kit.If no window than its a 360 dev kit, plain and simple.

The only thing that separates a debug, from a dev kit is the emulation and pix ports on the sidecar.  If you had the SDK you could still dev games on it.

lol, getting the dev kit isn't that hard, its just getting people that have the sdk to trust you, so they'll give it to you.  That's where I'm stuck right now...

Well if you dont have any debug games or the sdk than there's not a whole lot you can do with it.
You can keep it as a conversation peice or just sell it.And please dont ask for the sdk like gamerfreak1727 did,you will just get your thread closed.

I knew it would get closed, but people would still see it wink.gif
And yeah, you can't do anything without the SDK, or preview discs. And, at least for my kernel, they disabled the XBL feature, so no PartnerNet.
