This is a whole new thing for me so excuse my lack of knowledge. I am however not dumb enough to not have already used the search button.

I have a ton of movies all in avi format, i usually put them on my xbox, which is now gone.

so the question is: what is the best program for converting them to the proper format for the 360 to read.

I have transcode360 and to be honest i dont really care for it much, so i thought i would try this method.

Any help would be much apreciated.

But without any doubt VLC is the converter of choice, fast transparent and most importantly works flawlessly with both HD and SD content.
