well that could be your problem right there, it dose not matter if you play online you where connected to live and maybe you had a bad rip in your tray at some point which would explain the ban for you

It is not from the 250gb hdd mods. I have one and I am still on Live.

I can also say that I have never played a backup that I did not make from my own retail games.


I said it before and I will say it again. Rip your own games and you SHOULD be fine.

How many of you have the new Beta Dashboard? Also, it could be due to a bad rip which anything where you gain an achievement will screw you, achievements are logged and timestamped when you had received it, Microsoft can filter achievements on certain days and just ban whoever they feel even if you work at a game stop or any other type of game store where you can receive games early and play them..

I think i have a jasper. HDMI arcade model bought in march to replace an RRoD.
I have Lite-on, 1.6.
I used to play games early. But i think the last one i did was CoD: WaW(last year).
I didn't get the beta dashboard invite, and haven't booted any wave 4 yet
The most recently released game that I've played a Backup of was Boarderlands(not before release day).
I played a back-up of, again, CoD WaW for hours today.

And I still haven't been banned.

I always check/fix my backups with abgx360, thats the only variable that i think could mean anything. Except for how long i've had it the new xbox. (like 7 months)

Just turned on Xbox and signed in no problem

Never played a game early and always wait for abgx verification before burning.  

I hope to God I stay safe

If not, I'll get a new box and sell the banned one to someone who doesn't use Live

could this be due to people booting wave 4 discs with the one shot boot disc?? i havent played any wave 4 games wait and i am still online

This isn't it either, my 360 hasn't been connected to Live for about a little over a week because I bought a PS3 about 2 weeks ago.  I never even got the WiFi update and mine got banned.

No, I never used any Wave 4 games or the activate.iso, so this isn't it.  The last game I played was Borderlands and it was earlier than the release date.

I've heard in the past of people not getting a "banned" error and silly error codes.
Can't find them codes on google so it could be from a new ban wave from today. Can those who've been banned check their codes please, see if they match?

Mine doesn't get any error codes, it signs in with my gamertag when I boot up but it says "Disconnected from XBox LIVE" under the My Xbox tab.  When I try to connect, I get a popup saying that mine console has been banned due to terms of use violations.

If you press Y on that error screen you should get a status page up with some codes

I went to turn on my console and it froze. I unplugged my hacked HDD and it booted just fine. So I decided to hook my HDD back up, reboot the console and then I got the 'console is banned' message

I never played a game before it was released and I double checked all my game backups with abgx360. I have a BenQ DVD drive with iXtreme 1.6. I have never been banned before, I don't understand what's going on.

wasn't there some new disc check put into games like FIFA 09 that hasn't been fixed yet because LIVE wasn't scanning for it? --LINK--

There are many ways for MS to find out if you have a flashed console, the obvious one is that the DVD drive has been disconnected yet there was power going to it (During the flashing process)

Still not banned yet, playing borderlands.
