Upgrading Live

Hi,

Right I know I am getting live! for my 360 and I already have a subscription for my current xbox. Now what I dont get can I carry over this current subscription to my 360, but use my xbox as well? Also I have bought another starter kit for next year, will I be able to use that sub code on my 360 or will I need to activate it now on my xbox?
