I'd say #3, but that costs the most and I got a madcatz vga cable and it seems to sort of shadow the image(mostly only noticeable in the font) over a couple pixels. I don't know if the ms cable does that, but i don't think the games are supposed to be like that. Thats the only thing wrong i find with the madcatz cable.

thanks for your responses. I ended up getting this one

because it had built in speakers and on top of that had pretty much the same specs as the samsung, just not a brand name monitor. But umm will I get high def out of this with my 360 and official M$ VGA cable?? 720p???

There was no need to bump this topic when less than 2 hours passed by and it was still on top anyway.  The question isnt even urgent, as you dont even have the stuff yet.  If you did have it you would see that on the settings tab, you have the options for...

640x480
848x480
1024x768
1280x720
1280x768
1280x1024
1360x768

So, ya... you'll have "high def"

yea it is urgent I havent ordered it yet. Going to right now, wanted to make sure what I was getting was actual HIGH DEF. I dont fu*k with this sh*t often so I dont know, im used to SDTV. Just startin out with the HIGH DEF SH*T. So what does that mean the highest it will get to is 720p or does it get to 1080i/p?? FREE SHIP ends today that why it was urgent.

*EDIT* JUST FOUND THE LCD/HDTV/  SECTION UNDER THE GENERAL FORUMS GOT EVERYTHING I NEED THNAKS>

I cant decide!!! After researching more Im NOT gonna get the hanns-G if im gonna spend 170 i might as well spend 200 on a name brand! Defintly gonna go with a BenQ tho, have heard their the best! Dont ghost and dont have image problems....so imma get one of these 2 still undecided

20 incher - http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824014105

19 incher - http://www.newegg.co...N82E16824014129

What would be a better thing to have.... better resolution or better response time? This is mainly just gonna be for 360 gameing not for my PC. Also dont take size into consideration for which is better cause 1 inch difference does not matter too me.

I am using a Sansung SyncMaster 940 TV/Monitor

Its 19" wide and has a max res of 1440*900 so it wont do 1080 but it looks really good when I use it with my PC and with the 360 on 720.

Now this is more expensive than what your looking but its not only a monitor its a TV too.
Its got DVI, VGA, SVid, SCART, component and composet.

Maybe look in to it.
I bought it as I needed a combo unit that could also do PAL which is why I went with this.

IGN acctaully did a review on the BENQ 20 incher with 360 gameing. They said the only resolution that worked was 1280x1024 the others left it off balance. So If im gameing on a LCD monitor at 1280x1024 resolution is that still considered high def?
