In the UK the word is November 5th, 1 day after the US.

I beleive it is Nov 15 a tuesday (Games n such sometimes come out on tuesday) Also, Nov 15 2001: XBOX comes out, Nov 15 2002: XBOX Live comes out, NOV 15 2005: Perhaps the release of the XBOX 360? Exactly 4 yrs after the launch of the original? Im sure they would market that. "4 years of gaming, and we do it again!" or some other phrase. Thats my 2 cents.

as for pre-ordering games. I mostly do it with online pre-orders...

aside from walmart (which is run by such hicks that they don't get new release on the shelves till days later). I have to drive a good hour and a half round trip to get to a Best Buy or EBGames. So I'll pre-order them through amazon.com or something.

they typically schedule the delivery so it arrives at your house release day... but some times it's early and you can play the game a day before it's supposed to come out

not to mention I don't have to drive anywhere, and it's waiting for me when I get home from work
