Ok, a little background on this 360.

I bought it with the 3rl issue. I have removed the x clamps, and secired the mb to the chassis. The 360 now booted up. Then it would give me the "open tray" error whether a disc was inserted or not. I did the rubber band mod, (actually used a cut down twist tie), now the 360 will play dvd's. I put in gears of war and the 360 will read the disc, but then give me the "to play this game" error. This is an original disc in good condition.

As far as i know the drive has not been flashed, but it was purchased off fleabay. The warranty sticker was still in tact when i received it.

I've been searching for awhile now but can't figure it out, and the game goes back in a day or too. Then i won't have any games to test it with, so i need to get it worked out as soon as possible.

Any ideas?

Ok i got it to boot to the game. Putting the tie on either rail didn't work but putting it on the white plastic stopper did the trick. Now i just have to adjust it som more cus it's just way too freakin loud. lol
