360 Locking Up / Freezing
« on: January 02, 2007, 04:20:00 PM »

I don't know if anyone has had the same problem as me?

My 360 is 3 months old and problem only started last night. Whenever the console is on (does not matter whether im playing a game or on dashboard / online or offline), after a random interval between 1 minute and 5 minutes, i'll hear a crackling noise through the speakers and at the same time the screen will freeze with a scrambled up image (see below). Pressing the xbox guide button does nothing. System has to be restarted.

Contacted Xbox few hours ago who said they will email me with labels so that I can send the sytem back (no email received yet).

Has anyone else had this problem? My system is in a well ventilated place and so is the PSU.

BTW, i don;t have the receipt anymore and the system was bought by cash from a Comet store in September. I take it they can tell by the serial number when teh system was bought?

Thanks for any replies.

TRY SEARCHING!!!

This is mentioned hundreds, maybe thousands of time on this site!

Your 360 is fucked YES send it back - doesn't matter if you don't have a receipt as it is still under the Microsoft warranty.

USE THE BLOODY SEARCH BUTTON!!!
