12v Lazer Leds
« on: June 03, 2008, 07:38:00 AM »

Hi, is have bought bleu laser leds that i wanted to use in my console. i also have the talismoon cable so you can draw power from the fans. so when i connect everything and turn on the 360 the leds only blink once when turning on, after that they do nothing. also when i use 12v on my fans? what is wrong?

the set is connected with a molex. like you normally do in your pc, but in my pc this type of equipment is always mounted between something, so the electric circuit is closed, because you attact the other end of the molex on for example a dvd drive.... is this causing my problem

The fan's don't put out 12v, thats probably the problem.  Plus pulling power from the DVD drive is bad, mmm-k.  Solder the lights to one of the 12v switched points on the bottom of the motherboard.  You'll get full power and not risk killing your dvd drive or frying a tranistor.

Yuppers.  Screw those stupid cables and drawing fan and dvd power, use the stable power.
