Component Or Hdmi?

HDMI *can* produce the best possible picture and sound, as it's digital, as opposed to analog (component) - however, it's up to the TV/monitor to do the real work.

With the Hdmi or Vga it was also up-convert your movies.
But if your tv maxes or the native resolution is 720P that the setting I would use.
It's going to give you the best results.
Also 360 games are suppose to be native 720P.
