Should I Use Component Or Vga? 30in Syntax Lcd Hdtv

LCD LINK

i thought i noticed a better picture with halo 2 using the M$ VGA cables than with the hd component cables that came with my premium system

so, since my monitor supports Wide XGA 1280 x 768 Resolution is that essentially 720p. so if i want a better picture i need to use my component cables to get 1080i since my monitor supports that too.

the 1080i image is scaled as your sets native resolution is 1280*768

when using the vga cable set the resolution to match your sets native one for best results.

id say vga.

scales is when a picture is resized from one resolution to another.

Yep , use the VGA cable and match your panel resolution (1280x768) . This will give you better pixel mapping , maybe even 1:1 if your display allows 1:1 over the VGA connection . Many digital displays will only pixel map over a digital connection ( DVI-D , HDMI , etc. ) .
