Not really. Obviously this has always been a big heated debate, but the fact that LCD, Plasma, DLP, etc (all but CRT) are progressive scan natively, and the native display of the one the poster linked is just above 1280x720 (720p), 720p will likely make the most sense.
Why send it an interlaced higher signal, to have the tv de-interlace it and convert it back to close to its native res of 720p?
Also, the fact that all of the X360's are using LCD TV's is because that's the one they chose to go with with the kiosk, and they likely got a nice discount for buying a ton of them.
So, 1080i if using a CRT (monitor, CRT based rear projection TV) 720p for just about everything else. (DLP, dILA, LCD, LCD Projection, LCOS, etc)
