New Perfect Dark Zero Screens
« Reply #30 on: August 23, 2005, 10:05:00 AM »

i have played PD (my lil bro has it) and i dont think it looks better.  you can tell they are using more effects (lighing, particles, etc.) but i dont think it looks better.  the screen was always sluggish and very blurry.  i have played it with the ram pack and i really didnt see much difference.  like i said for me the game looked so bad it was hard to play, i thought that they tried to throw too many effects at once that it did nothing more then clutter the screen with blurry lighting/lens flairs/textures.  basically to me it looked like they had to comprimise the quality of the effects they used just to fit them into the consoles ability.

again, i thought the game had great potential but was held back by the N64's technical draw-backs.  i have all the faith in RARE as i think they pushed the N64 better then even nintendo did and im looking forward to how well PDZ turns out.

i saw nothing but blur because of the overused AA.  im just stating my opinion about a game that was held back is all.

Yeah it does say X.05

I think it's just the zoom, but WhO KnOwS, maybe the player zoomed in a .5 zoom to make us get all X05-crazy.

I hope there are videos at XO5, the game has yet to impress me... just a bit visually, but Gameplay is the main reason... it's so huge, can it hold together? Thats why smart people like me wait for the Reviews... lol jk, but it sounds smarter?
