Unrar the downloaded file to a folder called XBMC

Ftp the folder over to the xbox´s hard drive. E:\Apps or F:Apps, most people use F: so the path is something like this:

F:\Apps\XBMC

Reboot and start it from your dashboard.

in XBMC goto Settings->General and activate the Ftp tab.

Now open the xboxmediacenter.xml in the xbmc folder on the pc with WORDPAD (Not the same as notepad) and edit the shares and paths so they point to the folders on the harddrive that you want to be able to enter.

Save it.

Now ftp over the edited xboxmediacenter.xml to the XBMC folder on the xbox so you OVERWRITE the old one.

Reboot and enter XBMC again.

If you have done everything right you are now set to enjoy XBMC!

Do not forget to check all menus in the settings section and please calibrate your screen My Videos section in Settings.

Did you open with WORDPAD. (it is NOT the same as NOTEPAD)

This link goes to the CURRENT xboxmediacenter.xml

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*che...MediaCenter.xml

Always check what has been changed since last update.

I installed xbmc and replaced the xml file with the one in the link above. All my apps etc are in the E drive. Do I have to edit that xml file ? or can i just leave it the way it is?. I'll only be using it listen 2 music and watch movies and i wont be ripping anything to the HD as its 2 small. Any info would be much appreciated.  <

I'm sorry, mind if I ask a stupid question?

How do you do step 2? - Ftp the folder over to the xbox´s hard drive.

And once it's in F:\Apps\XBMC, it will automatically show up on the dashboard after reboot??  <
