Got Connected Through Samba

I finally got connected to pc using xp SAMBA. and I see the vids and  music files i wanted to share but when I hit A button on the files it wont do anything. when I click on a music file it just scrolls down and seems almost freezes XBMC.  
any one know whats up with this?  <
