Cant Join Co-op Games?

The disc in in perfect condition, and I hosted a Co-op game and i sent him a invite and it wont work, it says disc is unreadable. He can load up the game and he can play mulitplayer but not co op or even single player Any one know what could cause this? We have played co-op many of times and worked fine.
