Saving To Memory Card And Harddrive?

Sorry to cross-post, but I was unaware of a game-specific forum for this game. My problem is as follows:

I'm at Level 30, saved on the HD. I bought a memory card, and made a gamer profile the same name as the one on the HD. I load up DR, load my save from the HD. Then I save it to the memory card. It says everything went just fine and dandy. So I turn off the 360, remove the HD (as to not accidentally nuke my _real_ game), and try to load the save game from the MU. It says no save game found! I go and check in the dashboard and sure enough there IS a savegame for Dead Rising in the MU. Any idea?
