for some reason the 1st opponent after the car bonus(and every one thereafter) is a complete cheap ass bastard... somehow able to get through blocks and virtually always win a air to ground or air to air attack, couple that with the d-pad randomly punchin for a fireball and jumping for any other move and it gets a bit frustrating... ryu, ehonda, guile, blanka, fuck even zangief are abs bastards, no charge moves and 100% spinning piledrivers...  

online is much better when you get a good connection, much more fair...


try the emu of sf2t and see how the difficulty (read 'cheapness') stacks up... its not even close...

ehonda yes, as he can move forward with his 1000 hand slap move, chun li not so much...

guile and dhalsim, when used to their full potential, piss me off to no end...

thinking about it, sf2 has been the game that has pissed me off the most in my life... trying to beat the original sf2 on the snes with fucking sagat doing nothing but fireballs and tiger uppercuts when jumping in and then having to face the man of cheese himself, motherfucking m. bison...

haha, i downloaded the demo to see if i would like this game after not playing since i was like 10.  All i could fuckin do was ryu's fireball cause thats all the other cheap ass would do.  I hate fighting games.  I am amazed at anyone who is good at one.

HAHA, I'm a hypocrit gamer I guess.  I now fight fire with fire.  I chose E. Honda 7 straight times in ranked matches, and I won 7 straight times.  Imagine that.

i can decimate most anyone choosing ehonda with ryu,  ken or sagat (probably guile as well)... i just need a fucking decent controller...

I set the difficulty right down and I can only win the first round of the first match in arcade -- no matter what. I just get fucking spammed with bullshit attacks and can't do anything because I don't have time to in later matches. Don't know if I just suck or what, but it seems far too hard.

im totally with you on that one. although i do seem to be getting a bit better with that zangief guy. his moves are pretty damn simple to pull off.

e-hondas the only one of those thats hard to beat... and he wouldnt be anywhere near as bad if the d-pad was reliable... if you get stuck in a corner do an air hurricane kick to get out, then just keep blasting different speed fireballs and dragon punch his bitch ass sumo splash's...

ive not faced a good player playing ehonda, just cheap ass ones... now good players picking dhalsim and sagat fucking suck, so goddamn difficult to beat...

"cheap cheap cheap" that's all I've ever heard since SFII was born.

Every character's "cheap" moves as you call them can all be countered
by some technique.  Its just a matter of learning how to get around them.

Anyone who complains about someone being 'cheap',
just is not a good fighter.

There is no better feeling than having someone whoop everyone's ass for 10-15 games,
and then finally figuring out the strategy to beat them.  And once you figure out that strategy,
you find out that they are a "one time wonder"

Its boring breaking records and winning game after game after game.  Beating a smart ass
at their own game... Now thats fun!
