Just wanted to confirm this product from bestbuy definitely works if you have a Hitachi DVD drive. My drives is Hitachi 47D

I have a "Compaq Presario SR1710NX Desktop PC" got from a Compu USA deal last month. Anyone who has this same computer you cant get this controller, its expensive $49.99. But it works if you dont want to wait for something to come in the mail.. Buy it use it and take it back..

$25 Shipped on Pricewatch. So you didn't have to modify mtkflash to get it to recognize? I have a sammy but cant get it to recgnize with onboard SATA. The chipset is in MTKFLASH and I have edited with my setting and then some.

I have the Ash1205 and a hitachi drive, but it wont flash. it says memdump not recognized. Did you have to flash the bios of the Adaptec card. Any help appreciated.

This card worked fine on my HL 59D drive. I did not do anything on the PCI Controller. First, I installed the PCI and reboot my computer. I have to install the driver and Windows XP recognize this card. Then I shut down my box and following the toturial. works like a charm.

No it will not work with the Samsung Drive. I just got this card to flash my Samsung and it works perfect. heres the link: http://www.newegg.co...N82E16815124022

Could someone plz answer the above question. If I get this card, can it be used to flash the Samsung drive if I hexedit mtkflash?
