Hi,

I have Windows CE loaded on my xbox and when I start it up..the screen gets all messy on the screen and even freezes as i can't utilize IGR.

My XBOX is a 1.6 by the way. Could it be a problem w/ the Xcalibur chip??? <

I have a 1.6 and am having the same problem as you. I also have this problem while trying to run Linux. It's like the video is broken up into a bunch of slanted sections.

It froze up on me as well... my power button didn't even work, had to unplug it to get it to reset.

1.6 uses yet another video encoder.

CE has been fixed to work with the Focus encoder in 1.4 and 1.5 boxes, but does not yet work with 1.6es AFAIK. <

Yep, I have the same problem with it. I can almost bet it's because it doesn't support the Xcalibur chipset.

How do we get a hold of the developer to ask him? I went to the homepage but I couldn't find an email address.

yea it did that when I tried to install EvoX using the 007 hack. my friends got this cute lil penguine but I got a blue and green screen with distorted images. luckily the LED light changes colors to let you kno when the install is complete or else I woulda been screwed! <

You nbbs just listen on 1.6 and 1.6b will not work minilinux or Win CE as of this time the reason is that the video drivers cant support the outputted video from the app. And no it is not your mod chip lol.

Why would people want to mod their XBoxes to play backup games and imports?

While I can see justifiable reasons to mod Xbox to run linux or backup games or homebrew, running Window on it is really a "just because we can"(well can we ? not yet I am afraid) and nothing else.

Last I check, a better spec used PC cost less than a new Xbox on Ebay which can run XP comfortably and won't strain one's eye. <

I have a Xbox V.1 and i can get CE to run and look fine but the only thing is that at start up it askes for a usb driver name and i can't get past that screen so do ya'll know what i have to do to fix that. I have a mouse and keyboard.

News Flash Listen PLEASE!!!!!!!
XBOX1.6 or XBOX1.6b Cant run WinCE because they dont have the right graphics drivers. Now there is nothing you can do about this ok?

They might update the software but if they dont we cant use it.

who the fuck cares? winCE does NOTHING. hell, you can't even see the mouse pointer on most xboxes. you can open a window or two, whee.. but you can't do anything at all with it, no usable apps, no HD access, no games, NADA.
