It's very strange that we can see the crypting algo from 70bytes and those who has the whole decrypted fw can't.

keep it real!!

I assume you are going posting this to have it decrypted, then compared, for the community?

If so, props to you.

yes is there a way to set up a paypal for some donations..i would also be willing to donate $42
hell i would donate $42 for every drive if it took terry out of the market and we could get the key anonymously

its better news than that..they have located the crypto algorythm in the firmware. the key is in the firmware and is encrypted. the drive then unencrypts it to tell the 360 that the key is correct. they have found the algorythm that is used to decrypt the key so an app can be made to decrypt your own key instead of sending it to that idiot terry
thats probably wrong but an unencrypted FW is great news either way lol. and looking at the comment under the section of code they are going to give terry and THX a bit of time to release it themselves and do the right thing. if not they will do it for them..

Nice effort! If we had two seperate files, that would probly make it easier. If somone has paid for it, key and file would help also. Might aswell work towards a known answer.

Will you post the full dump from the foundmy exe please

You can create your own two unique dumps using the latest JF and the 83850c f/w. Open f/w, make up a key, flash to drive, extract with the DVD83 tool, and there you are.

Oh, and I especially like this comment :

Yes that would be the easiest way to find out the encryption if it is possible to exctact the key with the DVD83 tool out of a custom firmware.
