I found V1.1 in the usual places but when I try to extract it, it says it is corrupted. Tried it again on another PC and same message.  Anyone else try it yet?

Thanks

Lucho

extracted fine here too.
i have found issues with winrar if you are extracting to a folder with a big name , or for example if you are using the "extract to Toshiba-Samsung 360 Auto Flasher" command while inside a folder with a big name , try placing the rar on the root of c drive right click and select extract to Toshiba-Samsung 360 Auto Flasher ,

Yes, it makes a backup

Cappadonna: No, you do not need to include anything. Everything you need is in the package.

ok ignore my dumb last post, couldnt get the flash drive to boot up, was using it in the add on ports at the front of pc, switched to the back usb port and bios recognised it as a hard drive so set it to boot from there, so now theres a list of options. do i just need to press number 1?

Do you backup and patch before flashing with extreme ??

A step by step would rock .

I think the flasher automatically creates a backup for you.

I second a step by step.  This flasher seems to be the easiest way thus far, so it'd be awesome to have a tutorial on this.  I have a Samsung, I really want to try this, but I'm still a little scared....

Geebee's latest tutorial does include info on using the auto flasher. You'll find the tutorial in the tutorials section.

Not sure if I have successfully flashed my drive or not.

I chose option A for via chipset. It found my drive went through about 4 screens and said Enjoy at the end of a page. So I put it all back together tried booting an original disc which worked.

Then this morning burnt a backup and it says unrecognised disc? Does this mean the flash didnt work or the disc didnt.

Should I have chosen another option after option a had finished?

FINALLY!!!!!!!!

I had to edit the MTKFLASK.EXE in the Autoflasher v1.1

Made successful Backup Firmware.

And successfully flashed w xtreme firmware.

So yes Backup choose option A if u have Via chip.
Reboot

And Flash w option C.

Now I gotta burn my backups.
Need DL media.... I'm going out shopping yay!!

Oh crap will this work with my Pioneer DVDR-107D drive? IT BETTER!!

I have to do this on a floppy.  Could someone explain exactly how to do this?  Do I need to format the disk as a startup disk?  And either way, what files and in what directories do I put on the floppy??

I'm having some issues getting the computer to detect the samsung drive.  I have a Via 82C314.  motherboard is a ESC.  I'm using autoflasher 1.1, but it wouldn't change anything to use the original methods right?  Either way, my PC doesn't recognize the drive, so I assume using a dif method won't help.

Also, is it the general consensus that it is harder to get a pc to recognize the toshiba/samsung drive than the hitachi?  I ask because I flashed my hitachi 47 and my friends too with no problem.  Anyways, thanks in advance.
