Modchip Advice
« on: June 15, 2011, 07:57:00 PM »

Hi Guys,
I've read about JTAGGING and found that my Xbox firmware is non-taggable.
I've looked for what a mod-chip allows and I have no interest in playing backups,
I like to develop and would love to run unsigned code on my 360 similarly to my development bios v1.
Is there a modchip which allows homebrew to launch or are the new elite models/slim models
able to run homebrew code?

Anyone with any advice is welcome. I just want to be back into the development community and the V1
is slowing down -  I think it's on par with dreamcast and I'm not into OpenBOR.
Even if someone knows a webpage with reasonable rates which offers exploitable or exploited xbox consoles
in alternative to purchasing a new mod chip.

the box itself must be vulnerable, and the only real motherboard-related modchip in use (cygnos360v2) anymore only enables NAND reading/writing and can also perform the GPU JTAG injection.

so, neither of those is related to making anything about your system vulnerable -- those two functions are necessary, but can be accomplished without the cygnos360v2 itself -- unless, of course, you've fried your SPI.
