Xbox (non-360) Dev Kit
« on: June 10, 2006, 07:30:00 AM »

Well, an Xbox Dev Kit system has just come into my possession, and I was wondering a few things...

a) What are the hardware specs on these?  What DVD drive do they come with?
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) What positive/negative effect does this (the dev kit) have on doing any soft mods?  Are they easier, or harder (since everything should be unlocked)

Thanks for the reading (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Why would you blatantly put Xbox (non-360) Dev Kit in a Xbox360 General.  Can you seriously not read or are you that retarded as to think that a Xbox (non-360) is really a xbox 360 in disguise, wow!

Hardware specs: 733 custom intel processor x86 compatable, 128 mb ram

DVD Drive: Should have a thomson, unless it was sent in for repair, then it can come back with anything.

Softmods: don't run softmods, they aren't necessary. You can get a bfm bios that will let you run retail games, look in the usual places.

Programmmingace: Can you reccomend a BFM bios for a debug xbox?  Also, if you've had any experience with installing bioses to run signed code, please give any realevent input.

Thanks a lot for the help.

one good thing about the XDK on softmods is that when you do mess up your softmod just pop in a copy of the XDK Refresh Disc and it will restore your xbox like new. Everything will be erased and it will act like its just out of the box
