Sony Hdtv Cannot Find Video Signal Of Xbox 360...help!

Just bought a sony bravia with 1080i resolution.  Plugged it to the HDTV cable box using HDMI cable.  I plugged my xbox 360 at the back using the cables that came with it (which i used before in the old tv).  I plugged the red, blue and green cable to component 1 (as printed at the back of tv) then clicked on INPUT on the tv controller, then chose component 1.  Played a dvd and everything ok, then decided to play video game and then that's when the tv showing the message 'no signal'.  There is sound but no picture.  Tried to put back dvd and still no pic but with sound.  Actually this problem started from the old tv... is it the xbox cable or the console itself... appreciate the help!
