Help With 360 Streaming
« on: May 03, 2008, 10:13:00 AM »

My xbox 360 isn't listed in the list of devices under media sharing, so I can't make my pc share media with it. I can connect to xbox live, but I can;t share media. Right now I'm using Windows XP Home Edition SP2.

-I tried disabling the firewall
-Forwarded all the ports
-Started all the services that needed to be enabled
-Reinstalled Windows Media Player(I even reinstalled the operating system)
-Both console and PC are on at the same time

Using NOD32 Smart Security for a firewall

In order for us to help you we need more information:
1.Type of connection.(wireless or wired)?
2.You use a modem or router for internet connection?

From what I see here you can connect to xbox live but xbox 360 cant find your pc. This happened to once and my solution to the problem was very simple(may not be the same solution for you)

Find your modem/router icon(internet access) on the network connection pannel on your pc.
right click on it.
go to properties and then highlight tcp/ip
advanced options
click on the box that says you can share your internet connection with other users from the network.

click ok.
