Xbox 360 Media Update Problems - Help!

Hi

I am having problems playing DivX and XviD movies on my Xbox 360. I recently was issued a new Xbox 360 console after having to send my original Xbox 360 Console back for repairs. I am using the original 20gb HDD. When I am not using Xbox LIVE, whenever I try to play a DivX or XviD movie off my portable HDD I get prompted to download the media update.

Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone solve this? Thanks in advance!

I have this same problem, and I dont know where to find the faq that your talking about. i also have no idea what a sig. is . lol
