i feel more and more like i'm the only one here every time. but here's the steps, for video at least.
you'll need Graphedit:
http://www.doom9.org...s/graphedit.rarHaali Media Splitter:
http://www.digital-d...w...sid=0&did=2MKV MergeGUI:
http://www.bunkus.or...2.0.0-setup.exe (be sure to update it also:
http://www.bunkus.or...20070117-1.rar)MKVExtractGUI:
http://download.vide...ctGUI-1.6.4.zipSonic HD demuxer: find the sonic decoder pack, or install scenarist.
Elecard's demuxer is supposed to be used, but i had no joy with it. if you don't have sonic, or it doesn't work, try this instead.
WMVMuxer:
http://www.digital-d...w...sid=0&did=1Start by building a graph in graphedit using file source async to pick your demuxed video stream, your demux filter (sonic or elecard), and haali's matroska muxer (make output filename *.mkv). string them together in that order, then press the play button to render the new file. more than likely you won't be able to tell when it's done (sucks), just hit stop after you can't stand it. you should have your mkv file.
the resulting .mkv file will contain invalid vc-1 data. make time.txt, and put these lines in:
# timecode format v1
assume 24.000
fire up MKVMerge GUI and drag/drop the mkv file in. the tracks section should show your video stream. select that track, and the text fields below will de-stiple, browse to the timecode *.txt file you made and choose it. select a suitable output and click start muxing.
you should have a refined .mkv file now. bring up MKVExtract GUI and drop this refined file in, select the video track under content (checkbox). click extract, and lo and behold, there's your vc-1 data inside an .avi.
utilize DVBPortals WMVMuxer to get that data into your .wmv file. obviously it's recomended to use the WVC1 profiles. fire up the 360 and make sure it's SAT.
this guide is just a stripped down version of the excellent one made by Isochroma over at Doom9, so he get's all the credit. i just threw wmvmuxer into the mix. if you want screenshots, and to read more about the process, check out
http://forum.doom9.o...9698#post939698. he's also made an excellent guide on refining an AVC evo, mentioned on his post.
i would suggest reading thru that thread at doom9 if you want to manipulate your audio. of course once you get the stream the way you want it, just mux it with the avi back into a wmv. good luck.
