Some things probably just won't play.  I know I have had movies that would and wouldn't with Transcode 360.

large files cant be stream..i tried >500mb files..it doesnt stream

I had some that would stream larger than that.  I just had certain ones that wouldn't work.  Same deal with Transcode 360.  You can always use Videora XBox360 Converter.  It converts them to wmv files.

dunno if its any help but i had a simular issue the other day streaming a vob (renmaed to mpg).
when trying to play the file on the 360 the 360 itself would freeze up.

this is the first time ive have seen this myself.
in the end i tracked it down to an Mpg3 codec i recently installed to use with a different app.
i uniontalled the codec and the file played just fine.

for converting to WMV the best app currently appears to be Encode360
