Oh man, what was the name of that software? unsure.gif  It just left me.  uhh.gif
I know it works, I bought it. Every so often I get a little lag, but nothing like before. Maybe I'll remember it later. If I recall the name of it, I'll post it. beerchug.gif

Find a better host. XBC works just fine when I host. I always get nice feedback.

No shit it works fine for you... when you host.  You don't lag.

Maybe you should try joining some games.

Well, the REAL problems are this:

1) People host on their crappy 128k upload -- find a better host

2) Halo was written for system link, hence there is probably very little optimization for packet size, etc.  e.g HUGE packets

Your comprehension skills must be a little off.  Of course it is fine when you host.  It's fine for EVERYONE when they host.  The non-host lags like shit compared to the host no matter what.

There isn't any full proof way in decreasing the lag.  A little intresting tid bit though, when i first started using xbconnect i could host like a madman.  No problems what so ever.  Now I am having problems.  Thanks to everyone jumping on the DSL bandwagon it has seriously degraded my connection.  I can no longer host anymore than 3 boxes, and I can't do BG it stops halfway though.  So I plan on getting rid of my dsl anc trying out cable.  Now as to finding a room, i never have a problem finding a lag free room.  Ever! If you are constanlty getting lag I would assume it has more to do with your connection and not the hosts.  Most intelligent people won't host unless it is pretty much lag free.  We recently had a CTF BG with 12 people(3 on 4 boxes).  Virtually lagless.  Sometimes when you join up you have to wait a sec or so for the lag to cleat then it's smooth sailing.

As for okayama, that was just some useless spam.  I bet you play Halo with Xbox live all the time.  Oh yea and what about the annual fee?  Bet that's fun...or are you going to stop playing after your year is up.  Don't post unless it has a point.

Here's an ACTUAL tip.
When you play a game with some one and get no lag. make them a buddy. So every time you see them again you know there'll be "no" lag.
