Last night with about two minutes left, the score was 17-13 Eagles, and the Redskins had 1st and 10 and on Philadelphia 27 yard line.  Ramsey decided to throw a wild end zone pass right into two guys wearing green shirts.

If Ramsey had just given the ball to Portis, the worst-case scenario would've been a FG bringing the game to overtime...but in any event, the Eagles' first TD was off a BS pass interference call.

That would've only made it 17-16

And even if Portis woulda got the ball he prolly wouldnt have scored

A couple years ago the same thing happened to my beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers.

They had a few losses, but they were still looking at a possible Big XII-North title, and they still hadn't lost a home game in years.  Texas rolls into town ranked #2 and #3 in the country.  Nebraska misses three field goals in the game, but somehow despite that, we're only down by 3 points at the very end of the game.

We're on the 12 yard line with 30 seconds to go.

On first down, our option quarterback who can't throw decides to throw into triple coverage.

Ball game.  We lost at home, and then got spanked for the next couple of games.  Nebraska's streaks of ending up ranked in the AP at season's end, non-losing seasons (we finished at 7-7), 9 win seasons, etc. all ended.  We also had the nation's longest home winning streak at the point.

It hurt.

Not before the game started, no - but the skins did a great job shutting down the passing game, and despite their crappy performance all season...they were in a position to be a first place team.  Portis would've moved to ball at least 27 yards...and it was first down...they had all the chances in the world.

Yeah, that was definately one of the worse play calls I have ever seen, I loved it though.

Philly to the Superbowl, nobody in the NFC can beat them.

The Redskins obviously can beat them, they just have a stupid quarterback.

The Eagles can't beat a big d rushing team.

No, I think the eagles will make the superbowl, but will get owned by whichever AFC team makes it (probably the Steelers or the Pats). The AFC is such a better league this year. Well, except for my beloved Browns  sad.gif But anyway, I'll root for the pats in the playoffs, as they are my third favorite team.

Who the hell do you expect to beat them. The NFC is so pathetically watered down. It's really gonna be a lame walk to the Superbowl.

The Falcons would murder the Eagles.
