The New System Of A Down Cd - Hypnotize

Have you guys heard the new System of a Down CD?  It's SO GOOD!  Just when you thought their best album was Mesmerize, they come out with this.  They are amazing musicians.  The best ones on the track are Dreaming and Tenative (track 2 and 6)

i hate them personally. can't stand the lead singer.

Amazing? No. Better than Hypnotize? Mabye. At any rate their older stuff was better. And this isnt the best cd that I have ever heard, though it is pretty good.

I agree that Dreaming and Tentative are 2 of the best tracks, I also can't stop listening to Vicinity of Obscenity, the new Soldier Side, Kill Rock N Roll.. the whole album rocks. I would go so far as to say that it's their best, but everyone has their own personal opinion on it.

I'm a big SOAD fan... I drove from Saskatoon to Calgary to see them in September. Here is a picture of me drunk in the hotel room after the show smile.gif

Well its definitly better then mesmerize and I did like it but still its not that amazing. I say self titled was the best then toxicity then hypnotize then mesmorize and steal this album is somewhere in there. Im hopeing that the next album they make will be more like there self titled album.
I do love vicinity of obscenity though  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Ya I actually like Mesmerize better that Hypnotize too. I love a couple of the songs in Hypnotize but the others just didnt do it for me.

the 2 newest SOAD cds are absolute trash IMO... and i loved the first 2

Personally I dont like them. I think that their music is just a bunch of noises from a sound board, no real skill envolved. I would much rather listen to a song with meaning and a good beat than a bunch of noises and people with weird hair screaming.

In my opinion the older the album is the better. With Hypnotize it had a few good songs, like Kill rock'n Roll, and Vicinity of obcenity, but all in all, it wasn't very pleasing. Mesmerize was about this same, with B.Y.O.B., old school hollywood, and lost in hollywood. But then we go back to steal this album, which in my opinion was a great success, same with toxicity. But system of a down, was their first, and best album....


this is all my opinion of course

i pretty much agree w/ everyone about mezmerize being better than hypnotize and their older albums being way better (toxicity is still my favorite).

"banna banna banna terra cotta banna terra cotta......", ughh that gets stuck in my head all day lol

Nor can I.  I feel that his voice just doesn't match the style of music they are trying to capture.  Then again I don't care for most newer mainstream bands.
