Henman: Ball-girls are A-OK

Tim Henman said it was a "bit disappointing" that the models, who only take to the court for the lone televised match each evening, weren't in action during his second-round victory over Spain's Albert Costa.

MADRID (AP) -- British tennis player Tim Henman thinks replacing ball-boys and ball-girls with fashion models for some matches at the Madrid Masters was an interesting idea.

I was watching a report on it on BBC yesterday, and it showed one of the ball-grabbers(hehe) toss Agassi two balls, and he tossed one back, but tossed it short. I'm sure he just wanted to see her chase his balls. hehe.

I know sex sells and all, but I really can't stand this. There's people who work awful hard to be a ball girl or boy. (Regardless of how stupid that may seem to some.) To tell them that their years or work are less important then looks teaches a piss poor lesson at best. Tennins was one of the few sports left that I thought had some class and dignity. Guess we're throwing that out the window now too.

Seriously though, you can expect tv ratings for tennis to go up just for this.

They are doing it at Hockey arenas all over.

Whistle blows, commercial, out come 2 fines ass bitches with shovels and buckets to clean off the excess snow.

EA NHL 2005 has the girls shoveling snow.

Whats the big deal.....dont you guys like sexy women?

When i go to the strip joints I find a seat where I can see the hockey game and the pink meat.

what more can we ask....Sports and Sex

Other than the fact you aren't getting sex in either situation?

It's much like the introduction of Mrs. Kornakova. Tennis ratings went sky high, but people still didn't like the sport. If you go to watch the matches, then you won't be paying much attention to the ball-girls, but if you do go for the ball-girls, that's just wierd.

thats the thing though... there's a time and a place for everything... let hockey be hockey.. let tennis be tennis... leave the "pink meat" at the strip club.

Whatever either way i honestly dont care... i dont think the women are degrading themselves either... they reportedly got paid $1100 per game.  All in all.. i find it funny that a tv network (or whoever set it up) will go to such lengths to get ratings to go up.

pure jokes

lets get wolf blitzer on it.. see what he says

oh and for whoever owns a copy of the guy game... get a bunch of buddies together, smoke up and play it... its the funniest, most entertaining shit ever

That's pretty much my thoughts. I hve no problem with women ornaked women for that. But I prefer them to stay in a more suitable location like a strip club or something. Not trying to be my grandfather ot anything, but I don't think a sport needs sex to sell. I don't watch hockey because I dislike hockey. Girls cleaning the ice isn't gonna make me shell out cash to see it any quicker. And frankly I'd be amazed if it improved ticket sales or TV ratings at all. If you wanna see naked chicks, rent a porno, hire a prostitute or hit up the strip clubs. Leave sports that had some class alone.

And Golf...? Who the hell watches golf?  sleeping.gif

My mom watches golf only when Tiger Woods is playing.  Also Rylinkus, it's no use battling perverts that think "ball-girls" is "funny".  No one can make such immature boys grow up.  I think this should be in the garbage bin already dry.gif

What kinda sad about the situation is that most of the models didn't know the rules of tennis.  So they had to attend some classes to learn the rules.  I can just see sometime in the future when one of them goes for a ball while it is still in play or throws a ball to a player while play is going on or something like that where it might actually affect the game.  All the normal ballboys and girls are very familiar with the rules, so there is very little chance of something going wrong.
