Using Animation In Skins In Madmab Emus
« on: May 08, 2010, 03:45:00 AM »

Hey, Madmab. I am messing with some animations in skins and it seems I am limited to about 80 frames. Is there any way to extend that limit? At 70 Frames the available memory is still plentiful at 400,000 bytes when I click the "Check Memory" button. I spent the last 20 hours making a wicked Animated skin and had a "awwwwww" moment when I ran it and was cut short about 30 frames.

EDIT

Nevermind. I just realized that the emu wont even load the skin with 70 frames if you exit out and come back. Either that or it takes an hour to load lol.... So more frames would be silly.

EDIT YET AGAIN

It seems if I have exactly 80 frames in the sprite folder it loads just fine.... so it must crash the emu if your folder contains anything higher than the software limit.

So would extending this limit be a possibility?

Not all the emulator have the luxury of that much free memory.
I'd like to see a backround xmv for the rom browser rather than little sprite animations.
