Hi all,

I had a somewhat old (August 2007) XBMC install in E:\Apps\XBMC, so I copied a new install to E:\Apps\XBMC1, to make sure it runs first. I ran it as an App and it was fine, so I then renamed XBMC1 to XMBC (and old XBMC to XBMC0), again to be safe. Now, when I boot, nothing comes up on the screen (no menu), although the light stays yellow. I can't connect via FTP, so trying to figure out what are my options (I have softmod).

Any advise will be very much appreciated.

Glad it worked out for you.

On changing the other file, just make sure you have the directory correct and you should have no problem. Then you can put XBMC where ever you want.

What I do is name the directory XBMC xx-xx-xx with the date of the build. Like E:\apps\XBMC 12-17-07\default.xbe. Then I know which version is the latest and which one I am running. Then I keep two on there just in case I have to go back a build for a bug.
