It depends on what you are using your xbox for.

If you don't frequently use it as a mediacenter, your solution is fine. Unleashx has less features than xbmc, and due to that, it is smaller and loads faster. It's also a bit easier to use for first time users in my opinion.

If you frequently use your xbox as a media center, you better use xbmc as your default dash.

also. what are other dashes like avulaunch and neXgen 2 etc like.

what features are different compared to unleashx and evox?

you could just install the dashes as apps and see which one suits ur needs. i use xbmc as a dash and unleashx as an app.

xbmc is wonderful
very customizeable but psox and xmugen only runs on unleashx

(may runs on other dashbpoard too but i dont use them)
