X2 4979 Doesn't Play Xiii
« on: December 31, 2003, 09:30:00 AM »

thats strange, i use X2 4979.67, Evox 3935 (i think?) and my clock is set correctly with IGR turned off in Evox and this configuration plays XIII and any other game I throw at it

you sure you patched the XBE's... it MUST be something else holding you back as ive got no trouble with X2's latest BIOS

I use the X2 4979.06 bios on a Maxtor 250GB (large F:) with Evox 3935 and never had a problem copying or playing anything. I use DVD2XBOX 1.5.1 to copy all games because it autopatches the .xbe's and creates the game directories as well.

as other people say.....It's the clock..
if the clock isn't set right, a lot of games won't play..

I play MotoGP 2 all the time, as well as XIII....
No problems, EVER..
Been through a couple of X2 bioses...
all worked fine...

it is indeed a bios problem but from what i have seen its only a problem with the pirated copy of XIII. bad bad pirates you are! if im wrong and its also the retail one then there is a patch for it that fixes the problem. I have the retail one and it works so... go buy it!!!

Try disabling IGR in the evox ini when using 4979 smile.gif

I too have found evox M7 to work better for me than x2 bioses.  the X2 IGR just locks my box (yes IGR was disabled in evox.ini).

Use M7.

I had similar problems, I just switched to x2 4973 and used the adr patcher with the update on the default.xbe and it works fine.
