i'm unsure of what DVD drive came with my xbox 1.6 so thought i'd post a picture to find out:

Can anyone else verify that my drive is a Samsung? It's just that i thought samsung had two big holes, not small ones like mine...

No, i DO NOT have the samsung dvd drive.
After operning my box up i have a "Hitachi-LG" DVD drive...

Can someone tell me about these please, past expierences with cds and dvds and brands? good or bad?

this maybe a first on Xbox-scene.
the only drives known to be used by M$ are thompson, Samsung and philips

The guy who said its a samsung doesnt know shit about the drives. Samsungs have 2 BIG finger sized holes on each side not the needle size holes. THis is indeed a new drive. I am not sure about it if its better or worse then samsung or that new phillps out which i think is what you might have im not sure.

But burn some music cd-s on cd-r's n rw's n let us know how it works =)
