12 Pin Xbox Dvd Power Connector?
« on: February 15, 2004, 01:34:00 PM »

Hi. I'm based in the UK and am trying to track down a specification/product name/part number for the 12 pinheader socket which is used for Xbox DVD drives. I know the pinouts but cannot find a replacement part. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Only 5 dollars

edit: whoops. I don't know if he ships to the UK, or if he will even take UK orders, but it doesn't hurt to check.

Hello, you can use standard multipin connectors like those: Click! (you have to cut them to 2x6)

Those have a clearance of exact 2,0mm which is the same for the original connector. Only disadvantage is, that you have to make sure, to connect the dvd cable in the right connection, as there is no "frame", making sure, you didn't turn the dvd-cable upside down or st.

look for a multipoint connector at your favorite electronics dealer. Just make sure, the clearance/spacing between each pins is 2,0mm (most will have a clearance of 2,54mm) and that it has 2 rows.
